Principal's Message
Welcome to Eganville & District Public School, located on unceded Algonquin Territory, and nestled along the shores of the beautiful Bonnechere River. At EDPS, we take great pride in being a caring, inclusive, and vibrant learning community where every student is encouraged to grow, explore, and succeed. Our dedicated staff work each day to create a safe and supportive environment that nurtures curiosity, celebrates individuality, and inspires a love of learning.
As we move through the school year, we believe that strong relationships between home and school are the foundation of student success. When parents, caregivers, and educators work together, we create an environment where every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
We are deeply committed to honouring Algonquin language and culture throughout our school. Through classroom learning, cultural experiences, and guidance from local knowledge keepers, students gain a richer understanding of Algonquin history, traditions, and ways of knowing that align with the Seven Grandfather Teachings. These help to guide our relationships, our learning, and our vision for a welcoming school for all.
