New Students

Welcome to Eganville & District Public School (EDPS)! We are so glad that you decided to join our school.

Eganville & District Public School is located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley Along the banks of the beautiful Bonnechere River.  We currently offer exceptional educational experiences to students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade Eight.  Our students come from vibrant communities around the Eganville area, including Douglas, Deacon, Foymount, Griffith, Mattawatchen, Golden Lake and Pikwakanagan.

Eganville & District Public School offer many opportunities for both students and parents to become involved in our programs and events. Our staff is here to ensure that your child's transition to Eganville is as smooth as possible. We will introduce your child to another student that he/she can rely on to ask questions and to show him/her around the school.

Eganville & District Public School offers Native Language as a second language.  Our Native Language Teacher, Ms. Gaudry, teaches the Algonquin language to students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.  Ask about the Native Language program when you register your child.

Please visit admission/registration to learn how to register your child at EDPS, and the documentation that you are required to bring. If your son/daughter is transferring from another school in the board, you can contact our school office to initiate the transfer process.

Before classes begin, your child will be introduced to his/her teacher, the principal and office staff. Your child will know the bell times, school policies and procedures and where his/her desk is located.

Please visit the Our School section of our website to learn more about our staff, transportation information and recent newsletters.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask for help. We are always here to assist you and your child and offer our support.
